Monet Gardens

This is my Monet Gardens artwork. We needed to learn many different techniques in order to complete this piece of artwork. We used masking tape to mask of a fence first. Then we drew in the horizon line. We used a sponge for the grass, bushes and the shadows. The secret of the sponge is to put an even amount of paint and make sure you hop it along the paper otherwise the grass will look like a solid piece of green paper. For the pond, we scooped up the white paint on one side of the paintbrush and the blue paint on the other side of it. That way the colours only mix on the page not on the palette. I thought the process was very fun and interesting and as always with success there was always going to be some speed bumps along the way but we came over them as a team.

I love that you were inventive enough to create a totally different style of fence to everyone else. It made your artwork stand out from the others!
